Visual art and written word on show
THE North Bellarine Arts Initiative (NBAI) will open the St Leonards Memorial Hall doors next week for its third January art show.
Artists from across the peninsula will be exhibiting their work for the public to enjoy, and owing to last
year’s enthusiastic response, the link with local writers continues.
For those with a talent with words, visitors are encouraged to write a poem or piece of prose inspired by one or more of the artworks on display, and read the work (a four-minute limit) on the closing day of the art event, which is Sunday January 20 at 10am.
The winner of the ‘Peoples’ Choice’ art award will also be announced.
The art includes work in several mediums including the mosaic (pictured) created by Lorraine Stokes.
Doors open from 10am until 4pm daily from January 14 until January 20, and for those wishing to participate in the poetry/prose readings, register your name with the duty staff prior to January 20.
Entry to the show is a gold coin.
