Volunteers sought for Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race
VOLUNTEERS are being sought for one of Australia’s biggest cycling events, the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race.
Organisers are on the lookout for volunteers who are willing to donate their time from January 26 to 28, 2024.
Volunteer positions include course and field of play marshals, information and pedestrian crossing assistants, aid station assistants and many more.
Applicants will not only be an integral part of helping to deliver the international sporting event, but will go also home with an event t-shirt, a cap and a series of wonderful memories.
Fundraising incentives are also available for the volunteer’s community club, group or charity of choice.
2023 event volunteer Will Herbsch said he was looking forward to seeing the action up close again this year.
“Being a retired triathlete with a keen interest in cycling, to be a part of an event with Tour De France winner Cadel Evans – it’s an offer that’s too good to refuse.
“I volunteered for the first time at the 2023 event as a marshal on one of the corners.
“It’s so exciting to be right in the action and any help [they] can get is greatly appreciated.
“It’s incredible to see the standard of professionalism that comes through our local towns and I can’t wait to return to the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race 2024 as a volunteer.”
