Voting closes soon for Pick My Project

September 12, 2018 BY

VOTING for Pick My Project closes in less than a week, and project advocates have been urged to keep getting the word out about their great idea and how it will help make their local community an even better place to live.

The public has also been encouraged to get their votes in for their three favourite ideas.

The Victorian-first community grants initiative, with at least $1 million in funding available in each metropolitan and regional area (Geelong, the Bellarine and the Surf Coast fall are in the Barwon region).

Register for a Pick My Project account (or sign in if you already have one, select your local community by entering your suburb or address, and then browse the project ideas in your local community and create a shortlist of your favourites.

Pick your three favourite project ideas from your shortlist and verify your mobile number. You’ll then be able to submit your votes.

If you do not have an email address or mobile number, phone the Pick My Project team on 1800 797 818 and the team will help you create an account and complete your vote (set aside at least 10 minutes to vote over the phone).

For Victorians who have an email address but no mobile number, phone in when you’ve created your account and picked your three favourite project ideas.

The local community a person casts votes for can be the one they live in or have a strong connection to, but each person can only cast votes for one local community.

Phone 1800 797 818 (translation services available), email [email protected] or head to facebook.com/pickmyproject.

Voting closes at 5pm on Monday September 17.

As well as the regular support hours of Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm, the Pick My Project Team’s contact centre will be open on Saturday September 15 between 9am and 5pm.
