Where to mark Anzac Day across the Bellarine Peninsula

COMMUNITIES across the Bellarine Peninsula will mark Anzac Day on Saturday with dawn services, marches and commemorations held from Portarlington to Queenscliff.
In Portarlington, the day will begin with a 6.30am dawn service at the cenotaph in W.G Little Reserve.
Later in the morning, an Anzac Day march will form at 10.30am at the RSL sub-branch on Harding Street, stepping off at 10.45am and concluding at the cenotaph where a wreath-laying service will be held.
Nearby in St Leonards, a commemorative service will also be held at 9am at the memorial hall.
Further along the coast, Ocean Grove will host a 6am dawn service at the cenotaph in The Avenue, with a gunfire breakfast to follow.

A veterans’ march will then begin at 9.45am from The Terrace, finishing at Ocean Grove Park for a 10am commemorative service.
In Barwon Heads, a march will begin at 8.45am from the Bridge Road roundabout, travelling along Hitchcock Avenue to the community centre for a 9am service.
Drysdale’s Anzac Day march will step off at 10.45am along Princess Street, before a service is held at the cenotaph at 11am, which will include the Last Post and a wreath-laying.

The Leopold RSL will also hold a commemorative service at the war memorial at the intersection of Melaluka Rd and Stringers Lane from 8am.
Services will also be held in Point Lonsdale and Queenscliff.
A dawn service will begin at 5.45am at the Ocean View car park in Point Lonsdale, followed by a march assembling at 8.40am at the corner of Kirk Road and Point Lonsdale Road.

It will step off at 9am and conclude at the cenotaph.
In Queenscliff, a second march will assemble at 10.40am at the corner of Hobson and Hesse streets, before stepping off at 11am.
The procession will travel to Fort Queenscliff, where a commemorative service will be held.
