FIREWORKS will once again light up the Bellarine coastline on New Year’s Eve, with family-friendly celebrations planned for both Queenscliff and Portarlington.
At Queenscliff Harbour, the popular New Year’s Eve family fun and fireworks event will deliver an all-ages program featuring live music, roaming performers, children’s entertainment and two fireworks displays.
The festivities will include performances by disco-funk outfit Vaudeville Smash and singer-songwriter Ethan Conway, who is known for his loop pedal-driven live shows and has toured extensively since appearing on The Voice Australia.

Entertainer Chris Morant will return with his fire and magic show, while a dedicated children’s zone along the harbour promenade will offer inflatable games, lawn games and face painting.
Two fireworks displays are scheduled, with an early show at 9.30pm followed by a midnight finale. The displays are best viewed from the harbour boardwalk.

Meanwhile, Bellarine Bayside will host its annual fireworks display over Port Phillip Bay in Portarlington.
The display is scheduled for 9.30pm, timed to suit families and people of all ages.
The fireworks can be viewed from multiple locations along the Portarlington foreshore, with attendees encouraged to bring a picnic rug and settle in for the evening. The event is alcohol-free, parking is limited, and people are urged to plan ahead and consider carpooling.

Bellarine Bayside chief executive, Scott Crabtree, said the organisation was pleased to again deliver the community event.
“The display over the bay, funded by our holiday park revenue, offers plenty of vantage points and a great chance to gather with loved ones by the coast,” he said.
“Let’s make it a night to remember – celebrate responsibly and enjoy the magic together.”
Both events are subject to weather conditions, and pet owners are advised to keep animals secure on the night.
