Where’s Wally competition with a Celtic twist
THE Portarlington National Celtic Folk Festival team is inviting residents and tourists on the Bellarine to take part in their brand new Where’s Wally style competition to win a host of special prizes.
The festival’s ‘Where’s Scottie’ competition is a Celtic take on the famous Where’s Wally puzzle game and will see locals attempt to spot Scottie at a host of Bellarine landmarks and sites.
The official ‘Where’s Scottie’ campaign kicked off a fortnight ago and is now on its way to its second mystery location.
“This all started as a fun idea when we decided to enter the Great Australian Scarecrow Competition at Flying Brick Cider House,” Una McAlinden, Festival Director of the National Celtic Folk Festival said.
“One of our team members took the reigns and created Scottie! We ended up placing second, and then thought people need to see him!
“We thought, wouldn’t it be exciting if Scottie stopped in at venues across the Bellarine on the way to the event this year.”
Every week, one entry will win bottles of wine courtesy of Cat Out Of The Bag, while one grand prize entrant will receive two tickets to the National Celtic Folk Festival from June 9 to 12 in Portarlington.
To enter the competition, people must snap a photo of Scottie and post it to social media and tag the and follow the National Celtic Folk Festival and place where they found Scottie.
Entries close on June 5. For more, head to nationalcelticfestival.com
