MORE than 40,000 people enjoyed the winter magic at Adventure Park’s Winter Glow festival this year.

Visitors got into the spirit and rugged up to enjoy more than 30 snow, lights, fire and ice attractions during the seven-week festival.

From building a snowman in the biggest snow play zone outside the nation’s alpine resorts, to gazing at the 3.3 million lights, to making some winter warming treats, there was plenty to do for people of all ages.

The snow zone at Winter Glow is the biggest outside the nation’s alpine resorts.

The park also opened eight of its theme park rides, all of which were included in the entry price.

Initially scheduled to be held from June 22 to July 21, the event was extended due to popularity and only wrapped up on Sunday.

Adventure Park managing director Leanne Salmon said the festival would go down as one of their biggest yet.

More than 3.3 million lights projected across Adventure Park for Winter Glow.

“Over 40,000 people visited Winter Glow, with several nights sold out.

“Across the festival, we made a whopping150 tonnes of snow, which was enjoyed by all.

“The new ice princess stole the show with daily appearances and posing for photos with kids.”

Plenty of sweet and savoury treats were on offer at the festival.

Ms Salmon said the team at Adventure Park would be looking at adding a new experience at the event in 2025.

“Watch this space.”
