Wonderful show for Barwon Heads
BARWON Heads has welcomed back a summer favourite with a host of circus, dance and music acts set to entertain residents and locals.
The Wonderland Spiegeltent Festival Hub has returned to Lahey Square Park with a packed program of summer fun, arts and entertainment for the Bellarine.
The 1930s-themed travelling circus tent reopened on Sunday and will continue performances through January.
It features a nostalgic ferris wheel, a licensed garden bar, craft beers, local wines, sweet treats and food trucks to keep revellers young and old entertained.
The festival’s docket of live performances includes circus, cabaret, comedy, music and family acts set to take over its four-metre-diameter stage.
Favourites including Circus Wonderland, Joe Camilleri and the Black Sorrows, Werk It, Vaudeville Smash and Kate Ceberano all lined up for shows during the gala – tickets and schedules are available online.
Wonderland Spiegeltent director Melissa Head said the festival was thrilled to return to its Barwon Heads home.
“It’s been an extraordinary year for everyone, and part of the ethos of Wonderland Spiegeltent has always been to create a magical escape for audiences through live performance.
“Putting together this program has been met with overwhelming positivity, and we cannot wait to be back on stage, in beautiful Barwon Heads.”
