ARCHITECTS have been appointed to design major upgrades at the Surfside and Moolap primary schools.

Bellarine MP Lisa Neville announced last week that Sibling Architecture had been appointed to design Surfside’s $1.3 million upgrade and Morton Dun Architects appointed for Moolap’s $600,000 project.

Amongst other items, works at Surfside will include an upgrade of toilet facilities, improvement in classrooms allowing for more flexibility of classes, office refurbishment and improvement to lighting.

For Moolap, upgrades will focus on larger staff work spaces, improvement to the school library and extensions to the school’s outdoor undercover areas.

“We’re making sure that our schools have the best facilities, our classrooms have the best teachers and that every child is given every chance to succeed,” Ms Neville said.

“Both Moolap and Surfside families are a step closer to getting even better local school facilities their kids need to thrive.

“I congratulate both school communities for their commitment and leadership in working towards these upgrades.”
