Your Armstrong Creek Town Centre is opening in less than a week

THE region’s environment features as design elements throughout a vibrant community precinct which will open to the public next week, giving you a new place to shop, experience and enjoy.

Armstrong Creek Town Centre will welcome the community on July 29 for its Grand Opening with anchor tenants Coles and Liquorland opening its doors, as well as Anytime Fitness, Terry White Chemmart, Beauty Genesis, Coral Massage, Common Lane Café and Dumpling and Sushi Hub, providing an easy and convenient
shopping precinct.

Developed by Wel.Co, Armstrong Creek Town Centre is a sustainable, pedestrianised and vibrant town centre which will foster a sense of community, with more cafes, retailers, and a cinema to open at a later date.
Construction of Stage One began more than a year ago and situated on the Surf Coast highway, passers-by have watched the landmark $1 billion development come to life.
Former Essendon footballer and Wel.Co managing director Andrew Welsh said the centre was a space designed with neighbouring estates, residents of the greater area and visitors in mind.
“We wanted to bring a real coastal feel to the centre, it’s been designed with the region in mind,” he said.
“The architects and I drew inspiration from the Otways, the Surf Coast and Bellarine, local parks and native fauna such as the Bellarine yellow gum..
“The design of the first stage, and future stages, has taken elements from nature and the region into account and those elements have been incorporated into the design.”
Armstrong Creek Town Centre’s logo features a red gum tree leaf with veins representing community connection.
Clarks Hopkins Clark vision director and architect Dean Landy said architects looked at the project wholeheartedly and designed Stage One’s town centre to be complemented by a larger pedestrianised precinct.

The space will be a civic, residential and commercial precinct once completed, and will feature tree-lined streets with names including Winkipop Walk, Kettlefish Street, Lagoon Parade and Halfmoon Drive after iconic surf beaches.
“All the elements will connect together; residential, entertainment, commercial, offices and a whole mix of uses that will create a vibrant town centre,” Mr Landy said.
“The heart will be around the town square, which will be framed with cafes and retail spaces. Developers have invested in a screen here which will be a community area to watch games and events. As the development builds it will be a people focused space.
“What we hope people will love the most is the quality of the outdoor environment and the diverse offer of retail shops and amenities within this first stage, which is initially based around convenience and fresh food needs.
“I’m sure people are really looking forward to this first stage opening and all the other complementing areas we’ll build onto this space.”
