HAYDEN Real Estate Leopold will celebrate a major milestone next month when the business marks a decade serving the community.

The office opened its doors in the heart of Leopold in 2016. Initially staffed by a small team, the business has grown alongside the suburb.

Over the past decade, Leopold has evolved into a lively, fast-growing community, with new housing developments and rising resident numbers pushing the population to more than 13,000 people.

This growth has brought an influx of families and individuals choosing to make Leopold home, and Hayden Real Estate Leopold has helped many make the move.

Director Hugh McKewan said the 10th birthday milestone offered a chance to reflect on the people who have helped shape the journey.

“The people of Leopold welcomed us in 10 years ago, and it’s just felt like home since,” he said.

“Each year we’ve built stronger connections with locals, buyers, sellers, community groups, and some of them have become genuine friends along the way.

“We’ve seen new businesses pop up, the town grow, and our own team grow too.

“We’ve got an amazing bunch of hardworking people in the office. Leopold’s just a great place to be.”

Community partnerships, like its long-standing relationship with the Leopold Angling & Aquatic Club, which began in 2017, have played a significant role in the agency’s growth.

Leopold Angling & Aquatic Club president Terry Whitehead said the support had made a meaningful difference to the club.

“We’re proud to have Hayden Leopold on board,” he said. “They’ve backed us since the early days, and now we’ve got hundreds of members and a really solid club.

“Their support has helped us grow and keep things moving; it’s great community spirit.”

Hayden Real Estate Leopold co-director, Karen Purcell, said authenticity has underpinned the business’s approach to building relationships.

“People just want someone real,” she said. “We’ve always been down-to-earth, easy to talk to and upfront with locals, and I think that’s why people feel comfortable coming to us.

“Leopold is a genuine community, and we want to reflect that in how we work.”

The business says it is marking the anniversary with appreciation for the locals who have shared their stories, trusted its team and helped shape the place they’re proud to call home.
