Behold the beauty of Arcadia

Geelong Homes’ most recent display in the Oakdene Estate, the Arcadia 206.

Geelong Homes’ new display home in Oakdene Estate in Ocean Grove is where industrial chic meets the comforts of family living.

The Arcadia 206 is part of Geelong Homes’ Essential range that was released last year. The industrial-style façade of the fourbedroom, two-bathroom home is a minimalistic design that showcases James Hardie’s latest product, Scyon Stria cladding and Exotec RAW.

The black and concrete coloured cladding are a striking contrast and makes a bold statement to the streetscape.

Geelong Homes general manager Andrew Carroll said the Arcadia 206 design is a four-bedroom home that is sure to tick all the boxes for your typical family.

“Its design centres on creating functional spaces that the entire family can enjoy, the large open plan living, dining and kitchen is the real hero of the design of this home.

“This space is filled with natural light and features two sets of stacker doors that open out to the alfresco and deck area, while the V-lux skylight allows natural light to flood into the kitchen.”

The Arcadia 206 display home’s external industrial style continues indoors, with a sophisticated monochrome theme that features throughout the home in its cabinetry, tiles and pendant lighting.

The master bedroom situated at the front of the home features a walk-through robe in dark cabinetry, which tucked away behind the bedhead.

There is also a second walk-in robe, located in addition to an ensuite that features striking black subway tiles, with contrasting white grout and generous in situ shower.

The long hallway creates a lovely, bright entrance into the home and looks down towards the light-filled open plan living space.

A generous-sized lounge-room opens from the hallway – its large window looks out to the garden and is the perfect place to enjoy the morning winter sunshine.

Three bedrooms also come off the hallway – all are generously sized and include sliding, mirrored builtin robes. The main bathroom and laundry continue the industrial styling with the same bold tile theme previously seen.

A conveniently placed walk-in linen cupboard off the hallway can also be found, allowing plenty of storage space for a larger family.

The kitchen of this home is a particular stand-out, its clean lines, black herringbone mosaic tiled splashback and concrete look stone benchtop makes a statement.

The 900mm Westinghouse appliances, walk-in pantry and generous shelving and storage really make this kitchen opulent. Outside, the Arcadia 206 display home features an alfresco and full-width timber deck that’s perfect for entertaining all
year round.
