Bellarine agent celebrates a milestone in his career

Daniel Lamanna celebrates 15 years as the director of Stockdale & Leggo Drysdale.

Well-known Drysdale real estate agent Daniel Lamanna has just celebrated a huge milestone after racking up 15 years as the director of Stockdale & Leggo Drysdale.

Mr Lamanna has been an integral part of the Bellarine Peninsula property market for more than 20 years and has built the Stockdale & Leggo business in the region to a highly recognisable brand.

Now heading a multi-office agency business, his commitment to forward-thinking has earned him recognition as one of the top innovators of the local real estate industry, having served as REIV chair of Geelong for two consecutive years.

Mr Lamanna started his real estate journey straight out of Year 12, moving to Melbourne and completing his real estate license at Swinburne University in 1998.

He started in the industry in Camberwell, working at Noel Jones Real Estate as a personal assistant to the lead sales agent until July 2020 when the GST was introduced.

“I took a hiatus from the industry for a few years, restarting my career at Stockdale & Leggo Geelong in 2003,” Mr Lamanna said.

“In 2005, Stockdale & Leggo Drysdale was sold back to the franchisors, creating a position for me to run the business as the licensed branch manager in readiness to purchase it myself when it was re-established as a market leader.

“In October 2008, I purchased the business from Stockdale & Leggo Corporate right in the middle of the GFC.

“Unperturbed, we soldiered on with the acquisition of multiple other agencies in Drysdale over the following five years to establish a strong and reputable brand in the 3222 postcode with a large property management focus and strong market share in the sales department.”

In 2018, the opportunity to acquire the Portarlington office came about, allowing Mr Lamanna and the team to focus on servicing clients across the entire northern Bellarine, which was previously restricted through franchise agreements.

This move allowed the team to better service the local Bellarine community through both buying and selling opportunities.

This proved to be a very important and strategic move when the global pandemic closed businesses and restricted movement in 2020, allowing Stockdale & Leggo Drysdale to relocate Melbourne buyers and locals alike into new home across the entire Bellarine Peninsula.

Mr Lamanna said the team’s consistent focus on growth and opportunity meant Stockdale & Leggo had access to the best training, the best staff, and in turn led to them being able to offer premium service to their buying, selling and leasing community.

“I have been a licensed estate agent for 23 years, with 19 of those years actively working in Geelong and the Bellarine where I have been lucky enough to see the transformation of the region first-hand.

“This is such an amazing part of the world to live, work and play in, while hands down being the best possible place to do business.

“I thank the community for the ongoing support, and I look forward to the next 20 years ahead.”
