Bellarine Peninsula’s Baywater Estate celebrates milestone

December 16, 2021 BY

160 Woods Road in St Albans Park has been completely modernised with a full renovation and sits on around 18 acres of rural land.

Bisinella Developments has just announced the construction of Stage 14 of Baywater Estate – the final stage in the sold-out Bellarine Peninsula development – has been completed.

This exciting milestone marks the completion of the 380-lot estate, which has become a vibrant seaside community for hundreds of people in Curlewis, on the northern shores of the Bellarine Peninsula.

While the region has always been a favourite spot with Melbourne and Geelong buyers, there has been a significant increase in demand for land on the Bellarine over the past 18 months, in the wake of the COVID-19 restrictions.

This demand has fuelled strong interest in the final stages of Baywater Estate as well as Seaside Estate, Bisinella’s latest residential development on the Bellarine Peninsula.

Construction of Baywater Estate – 15km from the Geelong CBD – started in 2012, with the release of 40 lots.

Almost a decade later, buyers are expected to soon begin building homes in the final stage, which features 31 lots.

Baywater Estate is home to more than 1000 residents, with more than 200 homes already built in the estate

In 2013, when Allan and Margot Louttit bought the first block of land in the estate, there were no homes or roads to be seen.

After moving into their dream home in 2016, the couple has seen Baywater Estate transform into the lively and welcoming community it is today.
“I have been fishing in this area since I was teenager and wanted to be close to the water and a boat ramp,” explains Mr Louttit.

“We have a perfect set up here, it is such a beautiful area, and we have wonderful neighbours everywhere.”

“We have everything we need here; we don’t even need to go to town (Geelong),” adds Mrs Louttit.

“It’s just so peaceful and serene, our whole house has magnificent views.

“We can see all the way to Portarlington and across to the You Yangs and I can lie in bed and look at Melbourne.”

Baywater Estate has been constructed by local civil contractor Wellam Constructions which employs about 130 workers and has worked on Bisinella projects for the past 30 years.

The development has generated ongoing employment for Geelong workers for almost a decade.

Bisinella director Richard Bisinella said he was extremely proud to see the vision for Baywater Estate come to fruition.

“Baywater Estate is a testament to the hard work and foresight of Wellam Constructions, CardnoTGM and Mexted Rimmer & Associates, landscape design firm Ausscapes and the entire Bisinella team who have created a vibrant coastal community.”

Mr Bisinella also congratulated buyers of land in the final stage, wishing them well with the construction of their homes.

“We are delighted to see residents who purchased land over the past decade enjoying the benefits of the estate – the open spaces, playgrounds, walkways and access to the beach – and the many attractions of the Bellarine.

“It has been fantastic to see the evolution of Baywater Estate, into a thriving community with a range of beautiful, unique home designs which reflect the estate’s coastal location, complemented by striking landscaping.”

Baywater Estate, in the Jetty Road Growth Area, is Bisinella’s second estate on the Bellarine Peninsula. Construction of Bisinella’s 140-lot Bellaview Estate was completed in 2017.y

Construction on stages one to three of the 230-lot Seaside Estate is underway, with land in Stage Five due to be released in early 2022.

A lot in Seaside Estate can be put on hold for seven days, after which only a five per cent deposit is required to finalise a purchase.
