Book It In

February 1, 2018 BY

Nothing’s quite as transporting as reading. A good book will take you into worlds you’d never know otherwise.

Biographies, travel, cooking, escapism, a good murder mystery …books offer choices as wide as the imagination.

This is why plans to get a residents’ book club up and running at club Armstrong might be just what you’re looking for.

If you’re interested ring the club on 9037 0885; staff would love to hear from you.

Club Armstrong has an honour system library up and running in the parents’ room, with a growing selection of novels and magazines on its shelves.

The lads in the Club Armstrong men’s club have also just put together a bookcase for books and DVDs as well for residents to borrow.

The honour system is simple. Borrow what you like, return it when you’re finished – and if you have any books you can share, please feel free to load up their shelves.

Paddle time
If you’re up to a little strong-arm action, get along to this weekend’s Villawood Properties Great Ocean Paddle.

The paddle is a fast-paced 20km downwind race along the iconic Victorian Surf Coast and a not-to-be-missed national event on the Australian Ocean Racing Series calendar.

This year’s event will be bigger and better, with interstate competitors, more sponsors, more photographers, participant prizes, and lots and lots of spot prizes!

Grab your ski, SUP, outrigger or paddleboard and join us on the Great Ocean Road for Victoria’s premier ocean paddling marathon.

Traverse the iconic surf breaks of Bells Breach, Winkipop and Torquay and experience one of the world’s most spectacular downwind paddle race.
