For the first time, the awards are open to all cabinetmakers and designers in the Geelong region.

INDEPENDENT Cabinet Makers Geelong (ICM Geelong) has announced this year’s Cabinetry Awards promise to be the most exciting edition yet.

Celebrating the exceptional craftsmanship of cabinetmakers and interior designers from across the Greater Geelong region, the annual awards showcase the innovation, skill and creativity behind some of the region’s most impressive custom cabinetry projects.

For the first time, the awards are open to all cabinetmakers and designers in the Geelong region, not just ICM members – giving everyone the opportunity to showcase their work, gain recognition, and celebrate the industry as a whole.

With seven exciting categories on offer, there is something for every cabinetry professional:

Best Kitchen Under $50,000 – Sponsored by Lincoln Sentry

Best Kitchen Over $50,000 – Sponsored by ICM Geelong

Best Bathroom Design – Sponsored by Luxe by Design and Victoria + Albert

Best Small Range Joinery – Sponsored by Wurth

Best House Lot – Sponsored by RMS Traders

polytec Best Project, and

Caesarstone Best Kitchen.

The Best Bathroom Design category will be short listed and judged by the public. This is the public’s chance to vote for the bathroom they like the best.

A highlight of the awards calendar is the fun Awards Evening in late May, hosted by major event sponsor e&s Geelong. All participants are invited to attend what is set to be ICM Geelong’s biggest celebration yet.

This year’s event will feature special guest speaker Marylou Cafaro, trend forecaster, lead designer for polytec, author of Trendjournal and TV Presenter on Australia by Design-Architecture. Marylou will share insights on what’s next in custom cabinetry, colours, and design, based on her extensive global and local market knowledge.

ICM Geelong president Gary Paech said the awards provided a valuable platform to highlight the region’s best talent.

“ICM Geelong exists to champion the work of our local cabinetmakers and designers.

The awards is a chance to celebrate their skills, – highlight their work and encourage the community to choose local when it comes to custom cabinetry.”

ICM Geelong is a passionate collective of cabinetmakers and designers committed to showcasing custom cabinetry, encouraging collaboration, and promoting the importance of supporting local.

Entries for the 2025 ICM Geelong Cabinetry Awards are open now and close midnight on May 12. Blind judging will follow shortly afterwards.

This year’s judges are Kayla Teasdale of Haus of Teasdale, home designer Darren Grayson and trend forecaster Marylou Cafaro.
