From My Coastal Home to yours

April 11, 2019 BY

Welcome to this edition of My Coastal Home.

As the Rip Curl Pro approaches, the ocean and the air cools but life on the coast heats up. The crowds are ready to flock in for Easter and a last hurrah before winter.

All the while, autumn leaves its mark on everything, particularly this edition of the region’s best free home magazine.

In this edition, we meet rising Barwon Heads surf star Ellie Harrison.

The youngster takes us through a few of her favourite things as she dreams of one day competing with the pros at Bells Beach. If her recent results are any guide, she’ll get there sooner rather than later.

On the home building front, we have a look at MJS Built run by Mick Stanley. Mick has years of experience in the commercial construction industry and now turns his attention to building local homes.

Stylists and decorators have their say on this year’s autumn trends, and we bring you the latest news from new home estates, while new home builders keep us updated on the growth of the region and the options we have when looking to build, buy or renovate a house.

The swell is building under the April westerlies, which still carry the dust of a dry summer. Somwhere, beyond the spyndrift, there are winter rains.

Before they get here, enjoy this edition of My Coastal Home.
