From the REIV CEO: Congratulations to Robyn Waters

The REIV is hugely proud to share that Robyn Waters has been awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in the 2020 Queen’s Birthday honours.

Robyn was recognised for her service to the real estate industry and the community, and this is a very well-deserved honour.
Robyn was born and raised in a real estate family in the northern suburbs of Melbourne and witnessed the industry’s evolution since the early 1980s.
A formidable force in the Victorian real estate industry, Ms Waters was the first Australian woman to be appointed World President of the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) in May 2014.
Ms Waters’ role with the FIABCI, an NGO member of the Economic and Social Committee of the United Nations, has taken her to 38 countries. Some of the FIABCI’s present work is in the areas of protection of property rights, sustainability and affordability.
She is the FIABC’s Trustee to the International Ethical Standards Coalition and a fellow of the REIA and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
(RICS).
She also served on the REIV Board as Senior Vice President in 2017-18 and Director from 2001 to 2006 as well as being a ministerial appointment to the Estate Agents Council from 2015 to 2018.
Ms Waters is a licensed estate agent who operates as a sole trader providing real estate services to a select portfolio of clients.
Robyn has also invested a lot of time in training and mentoring you the next generation of real estate practitioners.
