Ho ho ho!

December 7, 2017 BY

Get into the festive spirit with the Geelong Cats’ 6.5-metre charity Christmas tree that Villawood Properties is sponsoring this year.

The tree is located beside The Cats Shop at GMHBA Stadium. It’s all part of the Bethany Giving Tree Appeal — a wonderful community initiative that everyone can be involved in.

You can make a donation of a gift for a boy, girl, man or woman which will be delivered to a person or family in need in time for Christmas. Suitable donations include: store gift cards and vouchers, books, stationery, baby items, wrapped, non-perishable Christmas food items.

Last year, thousands of toys and gifts were generously donated and distributed to local children and families, and we look forward to your support again this year.

If you are interested in hosting a Giving Tree this year, or if you are a business or corporate organisation interested in donating products or vouchers, please email [email protected].

Legends

While we’re thinking Yuletide festivities, The Cats also will be holding ‘Celebrate Christmas with the Cats’ at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday, December 9 between 10am to 2pm.

In addition to the charity Christmas tree, there will be all sorts of fun kids activities on the day in the Legends Plaza.

These will include face painters and inflatables, a special guest appearance by nine other than Santa Claus himself, photos/signatures with Cats players, team mascot Half Cat, handball targets and lots more.

Don’t miss this special opportunity to meet up with your footballing heroes and soak up the Christmas spirit at the same time.

Movie Night

Okay kids, here’s one movie classic you don’t want to miss out on.

Pencil Friday, December 8 and Club Armstrong into your diary.

That’s when and where you can catch eight-year-old clever-brat Kevin McCallister, aka Macaulay Culkin dishing up no end of mischief to the hapless bad guys trying to burgle his house while his folks are away overseas. Home Alone is a family favourite must-see for Armstrong residents only.

Pencil Monday, December 18 6pm-7pm into your diaries too. That’s when Grovedale Fire Brigade will be bringing Santa Claus to the new Armstrong adventure park.
