Introducing the new My Coastal Home podcast

September 10, 2020 BY

Has there ever been a time when we have appreciated our magnificent coastal and country surroundings more than we do right now?

We live in a stunning part of the world and it is no surprise that more and more people are looking to move here to live, work and soak up everything our vibrant communities have to offer.

With this in mind, Times News Group has launched the My Coastal Home podcast, which is dedicated to sharing the latest real estate, home and lifestyle news relating to the Surf Coast, Bellarine, Geelong and beyond.

Hosted by Matt Worland and Kylie Oliver, the weekly podcast brings you engaging conversations with three guests who share their insights on everything from real estate and renovating, through to the stories behind
local creatives and business owners.

The podcast is released every Thursday afternoon and episode six is out now. This week’s line-up includes landscape gardener Dale Vine who, along with his talented wife Sophie, became household names as two of the most successful contestants ever to feature on the hugely popular renovation show The Block.
Cayley Reeves from Coastal Grain and Felix Hakins from RT Edgar also join us.

Recorded from the Beach Road studio in Torquay, the podcast is our first foray into this medium but co-host Matt Worland is no stranger to working on air. Matt has worked in the radio industry for almost 15 years, with half of that time spent at Crocmedia in Melbourne where he was a host on radio stations such as 1116 SEN and Smooth FM. This also led to covering four AFL Grand Finals and the 2017 Super Bowl in Houston.

Kylie, who lives in Torquay, is an experienced journalist with a passion for storytelling and lifestyle content. She is a former chief of staff and magazines editor for the Geelong Advertiser and has emceed numerous
events for the region’s largest charity groups and organisations including the Geelong Racing Club, Barwon Health Foundation, City of Greater Geelong and Give Where You Live.

The My Coastal Home podcast is the duo’s first time working together and they are relishing the chance to chat with expert and entrepreneurial people from across the region and share those inspiring voices with podcast listeners.

Times News Group Director Warick Brown said the podcast was an exciting addition to the group’s extensive content offering.

“We are super excited to be expanding our My Coastal Home brand to new audiences through the Podcast platform Matt and Kylie have created,” Warick said.

“We have had some incredible feedback from the real estate industry also with not just agents, but retail clients and lifestyle creators also looking to come onto the show and share their stories with our community.”
