Jan Juc resident finds local value

MCCARTNEY Real Estate’s auction of 1/30 Prestwick Avenue Jan Juc on Saturday drew a crowd of about 30 people, with a first bid of $680,000 kicking the auction off.

This was shortly followed by multiple $10,000 bids, which then eased to $5,000 and $1,000 bids as the final two parties battled it out.

After 18 individual bids, the home, located in Jan Juc’s original Golf Links Estate, was sold for $733,000 to a local who recognised the value of Jan Juc property as an investment opportunity.

McCartney Real Estate’s John McMahon said the price was a great result for both owner and purchaser.

“We had more than 30 inspections and many more enquiries on this Jan Juc home.

“There was a great deal of interest from both locals and Melbourne-based buyers, notably, there was strong interest from existing Jan Juc residents who appreciate the value of Jan Juc property.”
