One Agency Surf Coast wins two national awards

The One Agency Surf Coast team celebrate their Boutique Office of the Year Regional award.

One Agency Surf Coast has taken home two awards in this year’s One Agency Australasian Awards.

Presented in Sydney last week, the awards recognise excellence across the entire One Agency network in Australia and New Zealand.

One Agency Surf Coast won not only in the Boutique Office of the Year Regional category but also Australian Property Manager of the Year for Trinette McKoy, and had nominations in three other categories.

One Agency Surf Coast director Shaun O’Callaghan said there were between 250-300 agencies and hundreds of individual agents in the One Agency group.

“It’s very competitive, and typically the One Agency offices are pretty progressive, and always looking to advance in their service and technology offerings as well, so to win in among a crowd that is always looking to improve and better themselves was a huge acknowledgement for us and the team in Torquay.

“It’s a testament to the team atmosphere and the supportive nature of the culture within our office as well.

“As much as Trinette won the award, she’d be the first person to acknowledge her colleagues as well.

“Equally, for myself personally, I hold every team member in high regard and that’s been acknowledged by the brand.”

Chris Henson and Olivia Swann were also nominated for Sales Agent of the Year, One Agency Surf Coast was nominated for the Community Service Award, and Mr O’Callaghan was nominated for Selling Director of the Year.

Despite the plaudits for the past 12 months, which follow One Agency Surf Coast being awarded One Agency’s International Office of the Year in 2021, Mr O’Callaghan said there was effectively no off-season to reflect on the agency’s success, especially not coming into summer.

“I guess, having been in the industry since 2006, it becomes normal – as far as an on and off switch, there’s really only an on switch.

“But it is important – and we talk about it in here – although it is a full-time gig, there’s no doubt about that, we don’t want to let it become all-consuming, especially as the market shifts a gear.”
