Pivot Homes wins 2018 HIA Western Victoria Regional Home of the Year Award
PIVOT Homes has won the 2018 HIA Western Victoria Regional Home of the Year Award, one of the residential construction industry’s most prestigious accolades, for an exceptional custom-built home overlooking the Great Ocean Road in Separation Creek.
The award was announced at the HIA Western Victoria Regional Housing Awards, held at the RACV Torquay Resort recently in front of an audience of industry leaders and VIPs from across Western Victoria.
The home is beautifully designed and luxuriously appointed, and is all the more impressive because it was built on a very steep and challenging block.
As an indication of how difficult the site was, the bottom floor of the home is nearly four metres above the driveway, and is accessed via a grand entry staircase.
Despite these challenges, the home was built with minimal excavation and site works.
Upstairs the home featurtler’s pantry andes two living areas around a feature three-way fireplace, a large entertainer’s kitchen with bua dining room, as well as two large bedrooms, complete the upper floor.
The lower floor features another try room in the home benefits from breathwo bedrooms, as well as a pool room with a kitchenette and its own deck.
Huge picture window frames and extensive decking ensure that almost evetaking ocean views.
Pivot Homes director Michael Pietersen said they were very honoured to receive the award.

“It wasn’t an easy project, but we couldn’t be happier with the end result.

HIA Victorian Regional Executive Director Fiona Nield said that this is an outstanding home, and a fantastic showcase of the kind of high quality work Victorian builders and HIA members are renowned for.
“The HIA awards are always incredibly competitive, and this year’s Western Victoria Regional Housing Awards were no different,” Ms Nield said.
“All of the winners, runners up and finalists have done themselves, their industry and especially their clients proud.”
Pivot Homes will now go on to be a finalist in the custom-built homes category of the 2018 HIA CSR Victoria Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards, being held on November 9 at the Palladium Ballroom in Crown Towers, Melbourne.
Pivot Homes also won the coveted HIA Western Regional Display Home of the Year title for the Unity Drive display home in Mount Duneed.
Signature Homes Geelong won the title of HIA Western Regional Renovation/Addition Project of the Year for their project on Orr Street in Manifold Heights.
