Red hot competition for last stage of The Dunes

November 18, 2021 BY

All lots in The Dunes Estate auction were hotly contested with the top lot making $786,000.

Eight lots in the final stages of the successful Dunes estate were auctioned on the weekend with the results just exceptional.

The Wirilda Street lots ranged in size from 395m2 to 512sqm with reserves set at $494,000 to $640,000 which were well and truly smashed.

The top lot 544 made $786,000 which was $146,000 above reserve and the lots overall averaged $715,750.

The developer’s commitment to provide shovel ready lots has instilled confidence in buyers who paid a premium to be able to build sooner with titles expected to be delivered mid-January.

Selling agent and auctioneer Peter Julian from Belle Property said this was an amazing result in front of more than 180 people on auction day.

“We had 472 enquiries over the six-week campaign with the eventual purchasers dominated by Melbourne-based buyers along with buyers from Torquay and Geelong,” Mr Julian said.

“Having blocks that people can stand on and picture their proposed home is a real advantage in this market.

“Buyers can see the roads, footpaths and services are already in place and this gives them confidence to bid knowing their build will not be too far away.”

The next auction of seven lots will come to market in early February.
