REIV MARKET SNAPSHOT – September 6, 2018

A CLEARANCE rate of 61 per cent was recorded over the weekend compared to 59 per cent last weekend and 73 per cent the same week last year.

There were 595 auctions reported to the REIV, with 362 selling and 233 being passed in, 124 of those on a vendor bid.

The strongest performers in August were the inner ring suburbs of Kensington and Canterbury which recorded 93.3 per cent and 86.7 percent clearance rates respectively from 15 auctions each.

McCartney Real Estate Torquay sold 9 Aurora Crescent, Torquay for $765,000 prior to auction.
