VILLAWOOD PROPERTIES TURN 30!
It’s Villawood’s birthday! If you’ve driven along the Geelong Ring Road the past few weeks, you may have noticed our new letters on the hilltop celebrating Villawood turning 30.
The past 30 years have been an amazing blur of exciting new communities, ingenious new partnerships, ground-breaking developments and cutting-edge customer experiences for Villawood. The Villawood story began in 1989, with a 30-lot sub-division in Bendigo. A syndicate of 16 friends and associates pooled their funds, knowledge and resources to deliver the cul-de-sac named Eaglehawk.
Villawood’s expertise has grown extensively since its first development, but we still approach each relationship, partnership or joint venture with the same level of respect, passion and camaraderie.
Following five further successful Bendigo projects in its first decade, Villawood expanded into metropolitan Melbourne in 1999. To date, Villawood boasts a portfolio of more than 50 completed residential projects.
Today, Villawood Properties predominantly concentrates on largescale masterplanned communities which incorporate a combination of mixed-use town centres, residents’ clubs, educational facilities, large display villages and the creation of high-quality parks and open spaces.
Armstrong is Villawood’s flagship in this regard, with a variety of industry awards to its credit including a prestigious Urban Development Institute of Australia masterplanned community award.
Over 30 years, Villawood has grown to become one of the most trusted residential land developers in Australia, with a legacy innovative, communityfocused developments spanning the eastern seaboard.
Keep an eye out at Club Armstrong for Villawood’s 30 Year book, with lots of stories of Armstrong’s people and community. Plenty of familiar faces you’ll recognise.
Villawood is thrilled to share this milestone with you, humbled by the support of so many people and across the industry at large. Here’s to the next 30 years.
Meanwhile, if you’re not up with this just yet, the construction, physical elements and landscaping of Armstrong’s newest park – it’s in Stage 24 Park – has been completed and is open to the public. Get on over there and enjoy all that it has to offer.
