THE cancellation of community sport over the weekend has meant other footballing events have had to be altered to keep in line with the tightened restrictions set out by Victoria’s Chief Health Officer.

As a result, AFL Barwon will be hosting this season’s junior competition vote count at 7pm tomorrow (Wednesday, August 25) on the AFL Barwon TV website.

The vote count presentations will be shown on the website across each age group, with the final two rounds to be included.

Age groups such as the male Under 15 and 17 divisions and the Under 15 female division will be part of the proceedings.

Other leagues will likely follow a similar path if restrictions are not eased, given the existing COVID-19 lockdown.

It was also confirmed yesterday (Monday, August 23) that AFL Barwon would be hosting its Ash Medal and BFNL netball presentation via a virtual forum.

The announcement was made over social media that the BFNL’s presentation night would be held over a Zoom link and anyone was able to join in on the event.
