Anglesea Golf Club – October 18, 2018

ON WEDNESDAY 10 October the Men played Stableford – Big Hole Golf in support of the McGrath Foundation. Great to see so many of the players dressed in pink. The Men’s A Grade Winner was John Mooney with 44 points while Chris Sawyer finished runner-up with 43 on a countback. The B Grade winner on a countback was Gerard Waller with 46 points from runner-up Garry Beurteaux who also scored 46 points. Max Meade won C Grade with 46 points from runner-up Paul Dowling who scored 43 points, claiming runner-up on a countback. Ball rundown to 42 points on a countback. NTPs: 3rd Gerard Waller, 6th Geoff Lewtas, 13th John Prince (Hole in one!) and Jackpot 16th Jeremy Larcombe.

On Thursday 11 October the Women played Par – Big Hole Golf in support of the McGrath Foundation. The A Grade winner was Ann Stokes with +1 from runner-up Noelene Dumbrell who returned -1. Wendy Callahan won B Grade with +2 from runner-up Lorraine Elliott who scored -2. Pam Ledgerd won C Grade with the day’s best score of +3 while Heather Jillard finished runner-up with +2. Ball rundown to -1 on a countback. NTPs: 3rd Ann Stokes, 6th Sue Britnell, 13th Jules Rolfe and 16th Helen Stewart. Thanks to everyone who dressed in pink and to Steve Lipovas and Jason Kraan for organising two fun days, supporting a great Foundation. On Saturday 13 October the Men and Women played Stabelford. The Men’s A Grade Winner was Hayden Smith with 39 points from Mathew Robinson who finished with 35 points. The B Grade winner was Graeme Mills with 37 points on a countback from B Grade Runner up Geoff Trethowan who also scored 37 points. Michael Preston won C Grade with 42 points while John Smith finished runner-up with 41 points. Ball rundown to 34 points on a countback. The Women’s Winner was Barb Croaker with 34 points. Ball rundown to 34 points. NTPs: 3rd Mathew Robinson, 6th Wayne Pipe, 13th Mathew Robinson and Jackpot 16th Wally Karnilowicz.

On Sunday 14 October a Men’s and Women’s Par event was played. The Men’s winner was James Catchlove with +5. Jack Bone finished runner-up with +3. Ball rundown to +1 on a countback. The Women’s Winner was Susan Caldwell with +3 on a countback. Ball rundown to +3 on a countback. NTPs: 3rd Geoff Hose, 6th Bryan James, 13th Darryl Maher, and Jackpot 16th Nancye Warhurst.
