FOLLOWING victories in Ruka, Finland and Idre Fjall, Sweden, Barwon Heads athlete Jakara Anthony has continued her dominance, completing a hat-trick of titles and earning two podium finishes over the weekend in Alpe d’Huez, France at the World Cup moguls.

Anthony’s prowess on the mountain used for the Tour de France flipped the script against hometown hopeful Perrine Laffont, by almost four points and accumulating a total score of 79.70 points headlined by a corked 720 mute trick on Saturday, before managing a bronze finish on Sunday.

Anthony extended her World Cup lead over the weekend to 50 points ahead of Laffont.

“It’s been a big couple of weeks and to come away with a win here, I’m lost for words,” Anthony said after her win on Saturday.

The 24-year-old is Australia’s only Winter Olympic champion from Beijing and continues to make a name for herself on the international stage.

Anthony’s time at Alpe d’Huez was the last event of 2022 for the Bellarine local. She returns to the slopes at Val St Come in Canada from January 27-28.
