BARWON Heads will enter the BPCA1 two-day fixture at 4-0 after a dominant performance against reigning premiers Armstrong Creek.

The Titans elected to bowl first but could not keep the Heads batters at bay, with the home side finishing at 5/296.

Opener Lewis Hyland needed just 69 balls to make 125 runs, in a stellar knock that included nine fours and 10 sixes. Barwon Heads then kept their opposition at bay with the ball, limiting them to just 5/101 after 40 overs in a dominant display.

Drysdale chased down Jan Juc’s total of 117 relatively smoothly to secure their second win of the year, jumping the Sharks on the ladder in doing so.

Four wickets from the Hawks’ Blake Dobbin and three from Tallan Burns saw them knock Jan Juc over in the 38th over, and they needed just 26 overs to chase down the low total.

Anglesea have cruised to a victory over Inverleigh after sending the Kookaburras in to bat first. The Roos needed 30 overs to overcome the target of 122, with an unbeaten 43 from Tyron Norman leading the way.

Queenscliff have won their first game of the season in a tight finish against Barrabool.

The Bulls opted to bat first but struggled to get going, finishing their innings at 6/197. Queenscliff openers Hayden Illingworth and Lochie Philp then put together an inspiring opening partnership to chase down the total in the 39th over, without losing a wicket.

They now jump into sixth spot on the ladder, sending Barrabool to the bottom with the win.

In the BPCA2, Winchelsea beat Collendina, Ocean Grove beat Wallington and Surf Coast beat Portarlington. The St Leonards and Newcomb clash was abandoned.
The BPCA will now turn to two day clashes from this weekend onwards.
