AFL BARWON has made several fixture changes across two of its top competitions, headlined by two Bellarine Football Netball League (BFNL) clubs now playing on Anzac Day.

Newcomb and Ocean Grove will now play in a night fixture on Friday, April 25, rather than during the previously allocated Saturday afternoon slot on April 26.

AFL Barwon, which announced the change earlier this week, says this has been done to add to the significance of Anzac Day in the BFNL.

Both senior football and A Grade netball will take place under lights, with both games to start at 6:30pm.

This will complement an already existing BFNL fixture between Portarlington and Drysdale.

In the Geelong Football Netball League, Colac will now play twilight matches in Round 0 and Round 3.

Senior football will start at 5.30pm on both dates, while A Grade Netball will start at 3.50pm.

The highly anticipated Grand Final rematch between South Barwon and Leopold has been rescheduled to Saturday, May 24, away from its previously selected Sunday timeslot.

Elsewhere, the Leopold and St Joseph’s A Grade netball clash in Lorne will now be played at Leopold on April 12 due to court issues.
