Big move for Core Boardsports

November 23, 2017 BY

CORE Boardsports is Geelong and the Surf Coast’s largest SUP, windsurf and kitesurf retailer and has recently re-located from its Newtown Store to the Surf Coast precinct in Baines Crescent, Torquay.

Director Dave Sprague said that it was a natural fit to be in among the surf giants and had been keeping an eye open for a good location that still allowed them to have that destination/showroom feel that their Newtown store was famous for.

“Now at 31 Baines Crescent next to the Torquay Swim Centre, we have a great drop-in-for-a-chat vibe and all the best brands on display, with the best deals too,” Dave said.

“Core is renowned for the best advice in the region.”

Dave said moving to Torquay during the winter months was always going to be a challenge but has set the Core Boardsports team up for a great summer to serve all their customers in a more convenient location and will take advantage of the huge influx of holidaymakers.

“Core also actively supports and engages with all local paddle events,” Dave said.

“We’re kicking off the Victorian racing season with our own race, the Get Stoked 12km event at Eastern Beach this Sunday beginning at 8am which is now in its 5th year.”

Core Boardsports are also the exclusive SUP sponsor for the new Fishos Paddle series six-race event, run every month from November to April. They will also sponsor the Impossibles Multi-craft 18km race from Torquay to Barwon Heads on November 4.

Core Boardsports will be run its huge demo day at Cosy Corner on Saturday December 2, with over 30 boards from JP, Sunova and one to try out.
