BARWON Heads will host Anglesea in what shapes to be an entertaining clash in Round 2 of the BPCA’s A1 Grade.

The Seagulls cruised to a win over Jan Juc in Round 1, chasing down the Sharks’ total of 108 in 25 overs, whilst the Roos posted a whopping 247 runs and successfully defended the total to beat Queenscliff.

It will be a 2024/25 semi-final rematch, where Barwon Heads prevailed by defending their 211 runs thanks to six wickets from Angus Mackie.

Queenscliff and Jan Juc will both search for their first win of the year as they face off at Queenscliff Recreation Reserve. With the two sides finishing sixth and fifth respectively last year, both will be looking to avoid an 0-2 start and jump into the top four by season’s end.

Drysdale will host Barrabool, looking to turn things around after falling short to Armstrong Creek.

Meanwhile, Barrabool can begin the year 2-0 with a win after holding off Inverleigh in Round 1.

Inverleigh will look to take momentum from their tight loss last weekend as they host Armstrong Creek. The Kookaburras were promoted to A1 Grade this season and now face another challenge in the reigning premiers, who won last weekend against the Hawks.

In A2 Grade, Surf Coast will host Winchelsea, Ocean Grove will host St Leonards, Collendina will host Portarlington and Newcomb will host WallBY TIMES NEWS GROUP
