WITH the temperature starting to drop we are finding the scoring is heating up on the golf course thanks to all the practice our members and visitors are getting at our new driving range The Range@Curlewis!

Round of the Week – Ross McKenzie with +9 on Monday and this is also the best PAR score for the year on countback.

Eagles: None this week!

Monday April 9: Men Par: 67 Players – Great conditions saw excellent scores posted today.

A: Glenn Hopgood (13) shot +8 to win by 1 from Robbie Ryan (9) +7. B: Ross McKenzie (23) went one better with an amazing +9. Stu Clarke (14) was next best with +5.

Women: 27 Players – Lisa Pyke (36) +3 took the honours from Sheryl Mackie (20) +2.

Green tees: Daniel Hurley (33) +4.

NTP: 8th – Michael Davies (2.24m), 17th – And Golden Shot Winner – Terry Bourke 1.6m ($74)

Tuesday April 10: 9 Holes PAR: Women: 30 Players – Janise Lewis won with +3 on countback from Gwen Lewis. Men: 5 Players – Michael Fraser +2.

Wednesday April 11: Men Stableford: 159 Players – Another fabulous day for golf! A: Tim Sells (11) won by 3 with 65 from Stephen Broom (7) 68. B: Wayne O’Brien (17) 67; Harvey Webb (18) 68. C: Alan Cornell (27) also shot 65 with Brian Olsson (22) following on 67.

NTP: 8th – Greg Bishop, 13th –Tim Sells, 17th – And Golden Shot Winner, David Walder ($130). Green Tees: 5 Players – Peter Cannon (19) 68.

Thursday April 12: – Women Modified Ambrose Stableford: 75 Players – Linley Doak, Anne Clutterbuck, Anne Howard and Wendy Tottenham combined well for 141 with Annette Forbes, Rhonda Blair, Glenda Gannon and Maureen Botten next best on 134.

NTP: 4th – Vicki Carnie (Pizza On Madeley), 8th – Wendy Tottenham 1.36m, 13th – Debbie McKee (Yes Said The Seal – Wine), 17th – And Golden Shot Winner, Wendy Tottenham 2.14m ($69).

Saturday April 14: Men Stableford: 105 Players: Many groups retired early to the warmth and dry environment of the clubhouse! A Grade: Doug Parkin (3) shot 36 with Cedo Rakic (8) close behind on 35. B Grade: Grav Charles (17) 33, two ahead of octogenarian Alec Mitchell (30) on 31 countback.

NTP: 4th – Eric Fleming, 8th – Adam Barrett, 13th – Robbie Ryan, 17th – And Golden Shot winner, Denis Callachor ($100).
