IT HAS been a few days since the annual greens renovations… so hit your putts harder than normal and don’t allow for as much burrow. Easy! There were some excellent individual scores on Saturday in the Stableford Aggregate, soon after the renovations.

Round of the Week – Pam Arklay with 65 on Thursday.

Eagles: Pip Williams on the 2nd on Thursday. Denis Callachor has bragging rights, for a while to come, with his Eagle & Hole In One on the 4th hole on Saturday.

Sunday 18: Mixed PAR: 16 Players – John Bantow (7) from Werribee Park GC continued the trend of visitors doing well by winning with +1 on countback from Duncan Pascoe (18).

Monday March 19: Men Stableford: 57 Players – Wily veterans took the 1st two places with Andy Sholl (20) scoring 44 to beat Richard Hastings (24) by one with 43.

Women: 18 Players – Gael Charman (11) won by 2 with 37 from Judy Hocking (28) 35.

NTP: 8th – Dean Armstrong, 17th – And Golden Shot winner, Philip Bee ($55).

Tuesday March 20: Women 9 Holes Stableford: (Front 9): 36 Players – Jean Cowley needed a countback to separate her from Estelle Steele with both recording 20.

Men: Peter Mundy was the best of the group of four with 20.

Wednesday March 21: Men Irish 4 Ball Stableford: – 132 Players: Ian McAuliffe, Ian Wong, Jeff Salmon & Val Sutherland, combined well for 88 to win by 1 from Ian Daniels, Ted Murrant, Roger Gill & Robin Rogers.

NTP: 4th – Mark Bainbridge, 8th – Cecil Harris, 13th – Bryan Cairns, 17th – And Golden Shot Winner, Peter Featherston ($105).

Thursday March 22: – Women Stroke & Quarterly Medal : 60 Players – A Grade: Pip Williams (14) sizzled with 67 and won by 3 over Norah Cuffe (19), 70. B Grade: Pam Arklay (31) took the Quarterly Medal with a fabulous 65, with Krishna Selvalingam (24) next best on 72.

NTP: 4th – Cheryl Warrior (Pizza On Madeley), 8th – Pam Arklay, 13th – Gail Casey (Yes Said The Seal – Wine), 17th – And Golden Shot Winner, Wendy Tottenham ($53).

Saturday March 24: Men Stableford: 26 Players: Lightning strikes and a torrent of rain ended the morning players run. It also deterred a lot of the usual afternoon players! Damian Myers (18) however had no regrets playing to win on countback with 44 over David Speedie (21).

NTP: 4th – Denis Callachor, 8th – Chris Leonard, 17th – And Golden Shot winner, Damian Myers ($25).
