Bistro and bar facilities will be running as per normal as we creek deeper into the cooler Autumn months, so come down and enjoy a drink or meal and see why the Torquay Bowls Club is the place to be on the Surf Coast.
Division 9 played Queenscliff in the Grand Final at a hot and windy Drysdale Bowling Club.
It was a tight game with the lead going back and forth until the final ends.
In front of a big crowd Don Marianger and George Oxley put on displays of individual brilliance but in a dramatic finish Torquay lost by five shots in a terrific game of lawn bowls.
Division 5 represented Torquay in a midweek Grand Final against Bannockburn played at the City of Geelong Bowls Club.
Hazel Price’s rink had a brilliant 12 shot win, but it was not enough as the side went down by 3 shots overall.
