EAST Geelong can lock in the minor seniors premiership with a win against Inverleigh this weekend in a busy final round of the GDFL.

The Eagles have won three in a row and their strong percentage means a victory over Inverleigh sews up the top spot regardless of other results. It would be their third minor premiership in four years.

However, the sixth-placed Hawks need to win and rely on other sides to sneak into the top five.

An upset victory will see Inverleigh feature in their first finals series since 2023.

Bell Post Hill are finals-bound after finishing ninth last year, and face the last-placed Corio at home to round out the home and away season.

While unlikely, a huge percentage-boosting win and a North Geelong loss could see the Panthers jump into third.

After winning four in a row, Anakie are into the top five and take on the eighth-placed Werribee Centrals at Galvin Park. If the Roos win this weekend, they will all but lock in a drought-breaking finals appearance.

North Geelong will host Winchelsea, who have won four of the past five. If the Blues can take another scalp, the third-placed Magpies could lose their double chance.

Bannockburn take on Thomson, whose finals hopes hang by a thread, at Victoria Park. The reigning premiers simply must win convincingly and rely on other results to take fifth spot.

Second-placed Belmont will host Geelong West at Winsor Reserve, with top spot still within their sights.
