THE Geelong Cats has finalised its list management changes in preparations for the coming National Draft and 2024 season.

The AFL club has informed 2021 draftee Flynn Kroeger he will not be offered a contract for next year.

Kroeger, who was selected with pick 48 in the National Draft, played three VFL games across two seasons in the blue and white hoops.

Mid-season draftee Mitch Hardie has accepted a one-year contract extension and will remain at the club in 2024.

The 26-year-old joined the club in June this year from SANFL club Woodville-West Torrens.

He played nine VFL games during the 2023 season.

Geelong general manager Andrew Mackie acknowledged the contributions of both Kroeger and Hardie.

“Flynn is a quality young man and we have enjoyed having him part of our playing squad for the past two seasons and we wish him all the best in his next step,” Mackie said.

“After joining via the mid-season draft and spending just over four months at the club, we look forward to seeing Mitch continue to develop, learn and improve in 2024 with a full pre-season under his belt.”

The Cats presently hold picks 8, 25, 76, 87 and 94 in the AFL Draft on November 20.
