Grass is getting greener at Lonsdale Golf Club
MEMBERS of Lonsdale Golf Club will soon be able to enjoy the club’s newly reconstructed first nine holes.
With the approaching spring growing season likely to hasten the development of the recently planted greens and fairways, the holes will likely be ready to play on before summer.
Meanwhile, the second nine holes will continue to be redeveloped, with construction also set to begin on the new club house.
The members have agreed to a course closure period of two to four months to ensure work on the project doesn’t slow.
During this period. the Queenscliff Golf Club has generously offered honorary membership to the Lonsdale Golf Club members, allowing them to participate in their competitions or to enjoy a social round.
While the Lonsdale Golf Club will close in August, the club will continue to operate with the clubhouse, office, bar, bistro and pro shop remaining open and the X-Golf simulators available to play.
The staff of Links Bistro will have a well-earned break from August 4 to 20, with the bar only being open on Thursdays between 10.30am and 2.20pm, and Fridays from 4pm to 8pm.
On August 21, Link’s Bistro will reopen for dinner from Wednesday to Saturday and lunch from Thursday to Saturday.
