Grove cricket club bats up girls’ teams

December 12, 2017 BY

THE Ocean Grove Cricket Club (OGCC) says the addition of its girls’ cricket teams has created a fantastic atmosphere at the club.

The OGCC will be entering two teams into the Geelong Renegades Girls Cricket League in the under 15 age group.

The girls have been training for four weeks and have increased their skills every week.

The club wanted to thank the generous support of its sponsor the Driftwood Café, which allowed it to provide all new cricket gear to train and play with.

The senior players of the club have been a great support to coaches Tim Doran and Marcus Wirth with extra skill specific coaching.

The OGCC said it was proud to be a part of these new and exciting times.

Teams from Torquay and Leopold are also entered in the Geelong Renegades Girls Cricket League.
