Leopold Lions kicks 2019 season off this weekend

April 4, 2019 BY

THE Leopold Lions’ junior and senior footballers and netballers will come together this weekend to launch their 2019 season.

Leopold Football Netball Club will unite for their Launch Day this Sunday, April 7, in preparation for what will be another cracking year at the Lion’s den.

Incoming LFNC President Richard Hockley has already been hard at work on behalf of the club, together with Vice-President, Steve Rose, who is back on deck this season.

With these two at the helm along with other committee members, it is clear that the club is in good hands.

To kick off the launch day, the club’s senior footballers will take the junior football teams through their paces with some training drills from 10am, while over on the netball courts, the senior netballers will be taking the junior netball teams through theirs.

There will also be food and drink marquees, along with a jumping pillow for the future footballers and netballers who haven’t quite made the age yet, and merchandise samples and ordering available.

Meanwhile, registrations are now open for Auskick Leopold, which will run on Friday nights from 4.45pm-5.45pm, and starts on Friday April 26.

Auskick is designed for kinder to primary school aged boys and girls of all skill levels, and no prior knowledge of AFL rules is required to participate.

Auskick costs include all sessions, GFL half time and AFL half time opportunities and a participant pack full of AFL goodies.
