SUNDAY September 16 saw aggregate 6 of the seniors and aggregate 5 of juniors run side by side.

Seniors at four-foot wild and wobbly Jan Juc and Juniors at fun Torquay Point.

The last event of the senior calendar was proudly supported by KX Pilates who will also be sponsoring the last junior aggregate on October 27.

The local branch of the KX Pilates franchise came to us half way through the year to support and we are stoked to have them on board!

A huge thanks to the team down there for getting behind us.

A lot was on the line for the last event of the year and the open division did not disappoint.

Tully Wylie, Cahill Bell-Warren and Todd Rosewall all needed a result to win the overall ratings and they all ended up in the final to give it their all.

Tully put on a backhand display of flow and power on the 3rd reef bombs to come away the eventual winner. The numbers now need to be crunched to see who comes away the open champion, but the mathematicians out there have their money on Tully to take it out.

The open final wasn’t the only exciting final of the day however, the open womens came down to the final few minutes of the final to decide who would be the overall champion as well. Angela Ball held off an inform Bella Wilson to take that one out and unofficially take out the year!

Over the hill at the juniors it was all hands on deck, so a huge shout out goes to the parents and volunteers for pulling off the juniors day as well as the seniors.

The juniors event was U8s through to U14s. Congratulations to all winners on the day!

The last TBC events were the perfect warm up for our up and coming stars leading into the Ripcurl Gromsearch at Jan Juc. The preparation worked out the best however for Mia Huppatz who took out the U14 girls division in challenging conditions at Torquay Point on Monday September 24. (For full results see liveheats.com/surfingvictoria).

Mia had the full support of the TBC family behind her as the TBC barbecue was set up selling snags and bacon and egg rolls thanks to Surfing Victoria and Rip Curl.

It’s this type of support that allows our club to grow and raise money so TBC wishes a huge thank you to those guys.

Our next big event is the Surf Trivia night on October 13 at Boardriders Bar 61!

Last year was an absolute hit and this year shall be no different.

The theme is double denim and tables are booking out fast, check out the TBC social pages for all the information.

Go hard or go home.
