Congratulations to this season’s winners of the Men’s and Ladies Pairs Club Championships: Heather Campbell with Carmen Koster, and Leon Wilson with Ken Bunning.

Congratulations also to Peter Austin, Bob Dwyer and Heather Campbell – winners of the Club Mixed Triples Championship.

The 21st annual Triples for Triers 2018 concluded with 84 local casual bowlers enjoying the carnival atmosphere of five nights of fun and bowls. Congratulations to the Red and Blue team winners respectively: Moshulu (Warren Heinnen, Peter Caulfield, Darren Hawkins) and the Boomers (Trevor Taylor, Kevin Ingwersen, John Anson). Our temporary marquee withstood the pressure of the occasion while the new clubhouse edges closer to completion.

Jackpot Mondays has resumed with round 5 to be played on February 19. Leon Wilson, Alex McPherson and Rob Miner still cling to the lead with several teams stalking them.

A reminder that the Invitation Triples event scheduled for February has been cancelled, the Alcoa Fours is on Wednesday February 14, and the Master’s Pairs tournament usually held in December is rescheduled to Wednesday February 28.

It’s been a busy festive season for barefoot bowlers among the many people enjoying their holidays in Anglesea. Many thanks to those volunteers looking after them. Well done to recent social bowls day winners. Happy new year and good bowling to all members and visitors.

Anyone wanting to try bowls is most welcome to contact the Club.

Regular Bowls: Mondays (12.30pm) and Saturdays (12.30pm). Match is open for entries on the day until 11.00am by phone or email.

Casual Bowls: Open for members anytime; public bookings welcome.

Friday Social: Afternoon Rollup and Pennant Practice.

Happy Hour from 5pm. Raffle and Members Draw.
