Modda sink Ammos in nine-point thriller

MODEWARRE will lock horns with Drysdale next Sunday in a semi final, escaping the grasp of Geelong Amateur 9.13.67 to 8.10.58 in Portarlington.

The Warriors’ strong 4.7.31 to 0.2.2 first quarter start almost ended in catastrophe during the BFL’s elimination final, as Ammos brought the deficit back to single digits in the fourth and final term.

Modewarre had eight goal-kickers listed but only Connor Joseph managed to snag multiple majors with two.

Ammos’ Brydon Barnett and Tommy Stephen combined for six goals in windy conditions.
