GEELONG Amateur and Ocean Grove will play for a spot in the 2025 BNL A Grade grand final on Saturday at Portarlington Recreation Reserve.

The Ammos and the Grubbers finished on equal points in the home and away season, with the former’s slight percentage advantage earning them a week off in the first round of finals.

Meanwhile, Ocean Grove pulled away from a plucky Queenscliff outfit last weekend, after being down at the first two breaks and just one point ahead at the final change.

The two powerhouses have played each other in the past three grand finals, with the Grubbers holding the bragging rights after a five-point win in 2024.

The loser of the match receives a second chance, and will take on the winner of Sunday’s semi-final between Queenscliff and Torquay.

Torquay led at every break and prevailed by 14 points against Newcomb in last weekend’s Elimination Final, to keep their season alive and push through to the postseason’s second week.

Queenscliff won by nine points in their most recent matchup against the Tigers earlier this month, and were also victorious when they clashed in Round 8.
