Portarlington Golf Club – February 22, 2018

February 23, 2018 BY

A BIG talking point at the club lately has been the Wednesday night members draw, which takes place weekly. The jackpot has reached $4,800, attracting 300+ members into the club for the carvery and the three draws that take place, and you have to be present to claim the prize money. If members wish to attend, it is now absolutely essential that they book a table at least two to three days prior to the event. It is a great atmosphere, and we enjoy it for the social interaction that comes along with it, as well as the chance to win the money.

Tuesday February 13, Men’s Stroke
A field of 147 hopefuls arrived in great weather and conditions, but it was George spence who had the time of his life, putting together a sensational net 65 to win Trophy of the day and d Grade from visitor Josh Bowen’s 67. a 68 from Lindsay Powell was good enough to top the a Graders by a point from dennis Wood, Jim Trevillian and Henry Wasiak were best B Graders, both with 67, and Kevin Godfrey headed the C Grade table with 69 by a point from Ron McLaughlin. The NTPs were collected by John Powell, Matt Salter and Ross Murrihy, and Matt Gordon claimed the ProPin.
