Roo Run comes on in leaps and bounds

THE annual Anglesea Roo Run was a resounding success with almost 500 runners turning out in warm conditions to enjoy the scenic coastal course on December 27.

The community twilight fun run, proudly sponsored by Great Ocean Road Real Estate featured a 1.6-kilometre Grommet Gallop, a four-kilometre run, and the main eight-kilometre event, as well as a number of team categories.

Event director John Somerset paid tribute to the many volunteers and the Anglesea Motor Yacht Club, the event host.

“We had a terrific night and lots of fun, with everyone entering into the spirit of the event. It was great to have so many volunteers and local sponsors involved and we are grateful for everyone’s support,” he said.
