NEWTOWN & Chilwell will host St Mary’s in a crucial clash that headlines a blockbuster final round of the GFL seniors.

The Eagles, under first-year coach Steve Johnson, are looking for their sixth straight win, which would secure an unexpected minor premiership and all-important double chance. However, the Saints are the only finals fancies they are yet to beat this season.

Meanwhile, St Mary’s sit third by percentage, but a loss in their final game could see them miss the finals for the first time in 10 years.

Bell Park will take on Leopold and can lock in a finals berth with a fifth-straight win.

The Lions’ three-peat hopes have failed, but they can still play spoiler and shake up the finals race for the sides above them with a win.

South Barwon presently sit just two points outside the top five and will take on St Albans at McDonald Reserve, who were impressive in their defeat to St Josephs.

The Swans will need to win and rely on other results to survive the home and away season and avenge their 2024 Grand Final defeat.

Colac can confirm their spot in the finals after missing out last year, should they conquer Grovedale at Burdoo Reserve.

After overcoming a valiant Supersaints outfit last weekend, St Josephs will host Geelong West, with a second-straight minor premiership still within reach should the Eagles lose.

Lara have one more chance to avoid a winless season as they take on North Shore at Windsor Park. The Seagulls’ only victory was against the Cats in Round 9.
