WEDNESDAY – Great conditions for golf with a large field resulting in a three-Graded competition. In A Grade David Mallet (4) won with 39 points from Daryl Kitchin (4) on 38 points. In B Grade Joe Sdraulig (12) had 39 points from Gav Sheahan (11) on 38 points. In C Grade Gav Clark (22) recorded 42 points and score of the day from George Richards (25) on 36 points. NTP went to Mike Fleming on the 13th.

Thursday – Dot Tattersall (14) won today’s competition with 40 points from Maggie Juniper (33) on 39 points. Scott Reynolds (6) 39 points won the day’s competition from Steve Troon (20) on 38 points.

Friday – Large field for today’s twilight nine-hole competition off the back nine today in-between showers. Bill Trethowan (32) returned to form with 21 points from Nathan Kerr (18) on 19 points.

Saturday – Windy conditions today for the January monthly medal for both men and women, the morning field snuck in before heavy rain took over the rest of the day. In A Grade, Lou McFadden (8) made a triumphant return recording a great nett 69 from Mark Eccles (7) on 70. In B Grade, Alex Makkreel (16) won with 68 on a countback from Andrew McCauley (20) on 68. In C Grade, Damian Chester (22) recorded a 68 from Seb ‘Basha’ Moreau (21) with a fine 70, looks like those new clubs and cheeky range sessions are paying off! January Medallist was X-Golf Geelong extraordinaire Alex Makkreel claiming his first win at The Sands! NTP on the 5th went to Ivan Kevric, 7th to Calem Hoffmann, 13th Rod Brooker and 17th to Luke Vassallo and an eagle on the 16th to Riley Siketa. In the ladies competition, Karen Lombardi (25) recorded 70 to win from Susan Barrett (32) on 71. NTP went to Linda Turner on the 7th.

Sunday – The last chance to qualify for the Black Tee Series final was held today in windy conditions, the course sprand back well after the recent rain. Today’s winner was Matt Berry (8) with a great round of 37 points to just qualify for the final, second place went to Riley Siketa (-1) with 35 points. Longest drive today on the 6th hole went to Simon Burriss and the NTP on the 13th went to Chris Bell. In the medley competition off the white and gold tees today we had Colin Chinn (13) record 39 points to claim the competition from Neil Trevena (26) on 38 points.
