BARWON Heads held off Anglesea on Saturday to remain undefeated after the first two rounds of the BFL seniors season.

The visitors kicked six goals to one in the game at Ellimatta Reserve and held a 20-point lead at half-time.

Inaccurate kicking in the second half (three goals and 10 behinds) prevented the Seagulls from running away with the win, but they still finished 18 points clear at the final siren.

In the reserves, the game was lower-scoring but saw Barwon Heads come away with a larger winning margin, the Seagulls restricting Anglesea to just four goals while piling on nine of their own, the final score 65 points to 27.

Barwon Heads is also undefeated two rounds into the season.

Barwon Heads will take on Newcomb away next week, while Anglesea will travel to Portarlington.

Torquay is sitting on top of both the seniors and the reserves BFL ladders, with both sides winning two out of two and with sizeable percentages.
